Instagram caption and hashtag strategy for AI story pages

The first line is a second hook
Only the first line of your caption shows before the 'more' cut. Make it a question or a bold statement under eight words: 'Would you have opened the door?' beats 'Hi guys, new story video is out now, please watch.' The first line earns the tap; the rest earns the comment.
Write for comments, not likes
Comments weigh more than likes in distribution. End every caption with a question that is easy to answer: 'Part 2 chahiye?', 'Which scene was best — 1, 2 or 3?', 'What should Ravi do next?' Specific questions get specific answers; 'what do you think?' gets silence.
The three-layer hashtag method
Build every set from three layers. Niche tags describe your format: #aistory #aivideo #aianimation. Topic tags describe this video: #moralstories #hindikahani #bedtimestories. Broad tags describe the platform: #reels #explorepage #viralreels. Five to fifteen tags total, always in the caption itself.
Rotate two or three sets
Prepare two or three hashtag sets and rotate them. Using the identical block on every post for months can look spammy, and rotating lets you see which set correlates with better reach. Review monthly: drop tags that never appear on your reach-from-hashtags insights.
Hindi and Hinglish captions
If your stories are in Hindi, write the caption in Hinglish. It matches how your audience actually types and searches, and it keeps the page feeling like a person, not a brand. Mix in Devanagari hashtags like #हिंदीकहानी sparingly — they have smaller but very loyal clusters.
